The International Day of Happiness is celebrated on March 20th and it is the perfect intro to the upcoming sunny days.

Special dates and holidays don’t have as much effect on our lives unless we decide to be legit serious in making our lives better. Nevertheless, it is kind of important to make some days  significant.

With spring just around the corner we immediately feel better. In a way we too begin to blossom and it is easier to find reasons to be happy.

We propose you choose a date, decide you want to change one of the segments of your life and be prepared to see the magic. In the meantime you can read about things that are important to our colleagues and about what makes them happier.

If, however, you can't find reasons to feel better and make your soul smile, we will give you a few tips that you can start implementing right away in order to become more satisfied.

Do things for others (Random act of kindness)

Caring about others is crucial to our happiness. Helping other people is not only good for them and a great thing to do, but it also makes us happier and healthier, too.

Connect with people (Praise a co-worker or a friend, Level 5 Good morning)

Relationships are the most important overall contributor to happiness. People with strong and broad social relationships are happier, healthier and live longer.

Take care of your body (Go to the gym, on a crossfit training or take a yoga class)

Our body and our mind are connected. Being active makes us happier while also being good for our physical health. It instantly improves our mood and can even lift us from depression.

Notice the world around you (Have your “Me-time”)

We just need to stop and take notice. Learning to be more mindful and aware can do wonders for our overall wellbeing. It helps us get in tune with our feelings and prevents us from dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, so we can get more out of the day-to-day.

We are sure all of you have your own ways to cheer yourself up, so feel free to share with us the things that make you happy.
